Today we review a little from recent lessons and learn five new words for places and directions. This is useful for daily life in a town or city.
Quick review from previous lessons:

- tea / coffee: simple drink words
- simple polite requests: short, clear English is best
New words:
1) street — street — road in a town
Example: The bank is on Green Street.
2) corner — KOR-ner — place where two roads meet
Example: The bus stop is on the corner.
3) straight — streyt — without turning
Example: Go straight and stop at the light.
4) left — left — the side of the body or direction
Example: Turn left at the corner.
5) right — rait — the side of the body or direction
Example: The station is on the right.
Useful sentence patterns:
- Go straight on Green Street.
- Turn left at the corner.
- The bus stop is on the right.
- The bank is on Green Street.
- The station is on the corner.
Usage notes:
- Use street for a road name.
- Use corner for a place at two roads.
- Use straight for direction: no turn.
- Use left and right for simple directions.
- Use on + street name for places on a road.
