This forum thread is for question and correction practice. Today we review a little from the last lessons: short question forms, simple be-verb sentences, and polite correction style. Then we add new words for people and groups: who, we, they, friend, group.
5 useful words:
1) who — hoo — which person
2) we — wee — us; our group
3) they — thay — those people
4) friend — frend — a person you know well
5) group — groop — more than one person together
5 word notes:
- who is for a person.
- we is for the speaker and other people.
- they is for more than one person.
- friend is a person you know well.
- group is people together.
5 example sentences:
1) Who is your friend?
Reading: hoo iz yor frend
Meaning: Which person is your friend?
2) We are a small group.
Reading: wee ar uh smol groop
Meaning: Our group is small.
3) They are my friends.
Reading: thay ar my frends
Meaning: Those people are my friends.
4) My friend is in the group.
Reading: my frend iz in thuh groop
Meaning: My friend is part of the group.
5) Who are they?
