Lesson #104: Adverbs of frequency for simple routines
Today’s grammar point is adverbs of frequency. These words tell us how often something happens.
Quick review from previous lessons:
- We already learned words for time, feelings, and place.
- Now we add words for frequency: how often an action happens.
New words:
1. always — AWL-wayz — all the time
2. usually — YOO-zhoo-uh-lee — most of the time
3. often — AW-fen — many times
4. sometimes — SUM-taimz — not every time
5. never — NEV-er — not at any time
Word notes:
- always = every time
- usually = regular habit
- often = many times
- sometimes = from time to time
- never = not at any time
Example sentences:
1. I always brush my teeth before bed.
Reading: ai AWL-wayz brush mai teeth bih-FOR bed
Meaning: I brush my teeth every time before sleeping.
Usage: always comes before the main verb.

Usage: sometimes can also come at the beginning.
