Today we learn a very common A1 grammar pattern: in the present simple, verbs usually add -s with he, she, and it.

In the present simple, the verb changes for he, she, and it.
Most verbs add -s:
- work → works
- live → lives
- play → plays
- eat → eats
- sleep → sleeps

1. works — wərks — has a job / does a task
2. lives — livz — has a home
3. plays — pleyz — does a game or sport
4. eats — iits — takes food
5. sleeps — sleeps — rests in bed
5 example sentences:
1. He works in a small shop.
Reading: hee wərks in uh smol shop.
2. She lives with her parents.

3. It plays in the garden.
