Lesson overview:
- In English, we use the base verb with I, you, we, and they.
- With he, she, and it, we usually add -s.

1. eat — i:t — to take food
2. play — plei — to do a game or sport
3. read — ri:d — to look at and understand words
4. work — wɜːk — to do a job or task
5. sleep — sli
— to rest at night
Usage notes:
- eat: use for meals and food actions.
- play: use for games, sports, and fun activities.
- read: use for books, stories, and signs.
- work: use for jobs and daily tasks; with he/she/it, say works.
- sleep: use for night rest and staying in bed.

1. I eat breakfast at home. — ai i:t brek-fest at hohm.
2. You play football after school. — yu plei fʊt-bo:l af-ter sku:l.
3. We read in the evening. — wi ri:d in dhi i:v-ning.
4. She works in a shop. — shi wɜːks in ə shop.

at ten.
Sentence notes:
- Sentence 1 uses I + base verb.
- Sentence 2 uses you + base verb.
- Sentence 3 uses we + base verb.
- Sentence 4 shows the -s ending with she: works.
- Sentence 5 gives a simple time idea with they.
