Where Harris, Trump will be on Friday

2 hours ago 2

Vice President Harris and former President Trump have entered the home stretch of campaign season, with the election just over two weeks away.

Both party nominees are on the ground Friday, campaigning in the crucial swing state of Michigan. Harris's campaign is working overtime in the battlegrounds, primarily "blue wall" states — including Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — fighting to keep Democratic control of states the flipped from supporting Trump in 2016 to backing President Biden in the last election.

The vice president will appeal to voters in Grand Rapids, Lansing and the suburbs of Detroit during campaign events throughout the day. Trump is also campaigning in Detroit Friday, just over a week after he heavily criticized Motor City during a visit to the city's Economic Club.

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling index shows Trump leading in the Great Lakes State by less than 1 point — 48.8 percent to 48.1 percent.

With early voting underway in several states — and set to begin next week in Michigan — the race remains tight.

Below is a full list of events on Friday.

Trump campaign:

The former president will hold a rally in Detroit at 7 p.m. EDT.

During the event, hosted at Huntington Place, he is expected to appeal to autoworkers while targeting Harris over the economy, including inflation and jobs, according to the campaign.

Harris campaign:

The Democratic nominee will deliver campaign remarks in Grand Rapids, Mich., at 2:35 p.m. EDT.

She will continue her blitz through the crucial swing states, holding an invitation-only event in Lansing, Mich., at 5:35 p.m. EDT. It marks her first visit to the state's capital city.

Harris will also campaign in Oakland Hills — a suburb of Detroit — Friday evening. The event is scheduled for 8:10 p.m. EDT.

Former Presidents Obama and Clinton are also campaigning for Harris in Arizona and North Carolina Friday.
