Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), former President Trump's running mate, will speak in North Carolina on Wednesday afternoon.
Vance is working to grow support for the GOP ticket in the increasingly close swing state, which has generally gone for Republican presidential candidates in election years.
Although polls showed President Biden running somewhat behind Trump in the Tarheel State earlier this year, Vice President Harris now looks to be in a statistical dead heat with the former president.
Vance is expected to speak at 3 p.m.
