Updated newsletter includes daily analysis from editor-in-chief Bob Cusack and new podcast option for subscribers.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct. 7, 2024) — The Hill, the country’s definitive source for non-partisan political news and information, today announced the relaunch of its flagship morning newsletter, Morning Report.

This free daily newsletter brings readers inside “the room where it happens” and tackles the issues that matter most to policymakers and business leaders, landing in inboxes every Monday through Friday at 6:30 a.m. ET. You can sign up here to stay ahead of the day’s top stories.

Authored by journalists Alexis Simendinger and Kristina Karisch, this agenda-driven morning newsletter offers several new features, including a daily Smart Take from The Hill’s editor-in-chief Bob Cusack — providing key analysis on the day’s biggest stories from one of Washington’s trusted and top political thought leaders — as well as a daily audio option with an AI-generated podcast powered by Instaread, allowing subscribers to consume the newsletter in more ways.

“The Hill's Morning Report has always been a must-read, but now more so than ever,” said Bob Cusack, editor-in-chief of The Hill. “We know our readers are very engaged and active, so with new features, like Smart Take, and audio options for people on the go, it felt like the right time for Morning Report to diversify and offer more features for subscribers to stay even more informed and connected with all that happens here in Washington.”

The Hill also recently released its 2024 Notable Staffer List, honoring 25 congressional staffers who have worked with both sides of the aisle to create positive change on Capitol Hill, and hosted a private cocktail reception and bipartisan panel discussion with members of Congress, including Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), John Moolenaar (R-Mich.), Chip Roy (R-Texas), Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) and Steven Horsford (D-Nev.).
