The indictment and arrest of hip hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is resulting in an uptick of listeners to his music.

Combs's music saw an average 18.3 percent increase in on-demand streams during the week of his arrest compared to the prior week, The Associated Press reported this week, citing data analytics company Luminate.

Combs was indicted last week and charged with "abusing, threatening and coercing women" and others around him to “fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct,” prosecutors alleged.

The mogul has denied any wrongdoing, with his attorney saying Combs "is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal."

Combs is one of the most recognizable and consequential hip hop and rap figures of the last several decades.

The rapper and pop icon is facing more than two decades in prison if convicted.
