Vice President Harris will sit for an interview with MSNBC Wednesday evening, the cable news channel revealed.

The interview, which will air on the network at 7 p.m. EDT, will be conducted by host Stephanie Ruhle in Pittsburgh, where the vice president is campaigning this week.

MSNBC did not provide additional details on the planned sit-down, noting only the conversation would be one-on-one between Ruhle and Harris and air as part of a special two-hour block of "All In with Chris Hayes."

Pundit Joy Reid regularly hosts a show in the 7 p.m. hour on MSNBC, a channel that features a slew of hosts who are routinely and sharply critical of former President Trump and his allies.

The sit down with Ruhle will be only the second with a major broadcast or cable network the Democratic nominee has participated in since accepting the party's nomination for president last month.

Harris recently sat down with CNN's Dana Bash for a wide-ranging conversation that included her vice presidential pick Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.).

The vice president has opted for a number of interviews and appearances with local media outlets in key swing states over the last several weeks and is under intensifying pressure from Republicans to sit for more national interviews.

Harris over the weekend announced she accepted an invitation from CNN to debate Trump a second time, though the former president has indicated he is unwilling to participate citing the beginning of early voting.
