Vice President Harris on Tuesday agreed with radio host Charlamagne Tha God when he called former President Trump’s vision one of “fascism.”

Harris, during a live radio interview from Detroit, was referring to the choice in November between her and her political rival, telling listeners they could choose between her vision, which is to move forward, or Trump’s vision.

“The other is about fascism, why can’t we just say that?” Charlamagne Tha God interjected.

“Yes, we can say that,” Harris responded.

Trump’s campaign quickly responded on X, formerly known as Twitter, to condemn the rhetoric suggesting that it was the kind that led to political violence.

“This is the type of disgusting rhetoric that led to two assassination attempts against President Trump,” the Trump team said.

Harris’s interview with the influential radio host comes as she’s embarking on a media blitz in the weeks before Election Day that includes one focused in particular on Black voters.

Harris is fielding questions from Charlamagne as well as from his audience both on the phone and in the studio.

The notion of comparing Trump’s campaign with that of facism has been reiterated before.

Most recently, former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair and retired Gen. Mark Milley has called Trump “a total fascist,” telling journalist Bob Woodward that the former president is “a fascist to the core,” according to excerpts from the forthcoming Woodward book “War.”

Harris on Monday also hit Trump for his recent suggestion that they use the National Guard or the military on Election Day to combat what he described as potential chaos from people who aren’t his supporters.

“Donald Trump is increasingly unstable and unhinged and he is out for unchecked power, that’s what he’s looking for,” Harris said at a Pennsylvania rally. “He wants to send the military after American citizens.
